Yes. They also need people who understand the philosophy and ideas behind the side they've taken. No longer are conservative and liberal seen as two differing viewpoints aiming to reach the same goal through differing means. Each side now comes to view their side as right and the other's as wrong/ good or evil. In the process they have also lost sight of the true meaning of politics.

Both parties do, i agree there. The problem though is that most persons don;t give a damn about politics, they vote what their newspaper and tv news leans them towards,, if they decide to vote at all.. If people did more research on thier own without allowing the spin to be their gospel. It just seems overall people are lazy and allow themselves to be led around by the nose when only half the population may bother to vote something needs to be done about it.. myself i would move to have election day turned into a true federal holiday and almost mandate all places of employment remain closed for that day. I don;t belive in the recent lottery idea for voters but it is an interesting hook

I think that the Democrats have taken an illness of not saying what they mean.
>>Example: If there is concern with global warming, why did the Democrats not introduce a Global Warming Bill in Congress and have the Republicians defeat it. The strategy is the Democrats could have said that the Republicians are displaying, through this vote, that they do not care about our planet, etc. The Republicians have been very successful in meeting and destroying old political tactics.<<

Both parties should not have to get new people and ideas to make things work. This I believe is the ture nature of our working government.

My answer is no.

Nope! There is nothing wrong with the Democrats. They believe in helping the working stiff and the underpriveledged. It's the Republicans that do all the bickering and who have destroyed Democracy. Now, you leave the Democrats alone!

No. The populace has lost an understanding of the nature of each party. Once you get a clear idea in your head of what a conservative and a liberal actually are, it will all make sense to you. It's clear from reading postings here that hardly anyone understands these philosophies.
