Personally, I think Terry Venables should have been given the main role. England played their best football for years last time he was head coach.

El Tel is McLarens right hand man, so maybe it's not all bad. I think no one is the right man for the job until we actually win something, and then they will be! We'll always complain if we don't win, or get knocked out of a competition.

Personally I don't think he is - he had too much to do with Sven and I think we should have got someone completely different. A maverick like venables would be great, but I think he had his chance, and yes England played exceleently under him, but his dodgy dealing cocked that all up for the team.

This is the squad`s worse defeat since Steve McLaren has taken over. Before Saturday I do not remember so many people asking this question, will we have to change Manager every time England lose, if we do I think we will run out of people to do the job. And can I just that I have nothing against Terry Venables, it`s just that Steve was given the job as Manager, let him do his job.

no longer all that express. ok, so the outcomes have not been that solid, and the performances have been stuttering, yet permit's look at another data. He has jettisoned some famous person gamers and positioned a pair of different noses out of joint, which replaced into what Sven's Gentlemens' club necessary. He replaced into guy Utd assistant supervisor in a time while they have been prevailing many things. solid journey. additionally from his guy Utd days he discovered very lots from Alex Ferguson and discovered to handle famous person gamers. solid journey do no longer you think of? while he arrived at Middlesborough, he took a team of boozing, plodding duffers and have been given them to win their first ever trophy. He took them to their maximum ever league placings, and additionally laced them with success in Europe. while did they ever handle that with Bryan Robson in value? He can hence make communities go beyond a historic previous of underachieving. finally, he replaced into in touch with England by using the Eriksson era. it truly is the continuity the FA needs. He additionally introduced Terry Venables back into the fold. Wasn't HE additionally the guy each and every of the followers needed? i do no longer understand lots approximately picking David James. i do no longer think of his concentration is all that solid at international point. you may see this in Euro 2004 as quickly as we conceded 6 aims in 4 suits. He makes defenders worried. picking in-type Ben Foster replaced right into a competent pass. i do no longer understand if he's the main suitable guy for England, in basic terms time will tell. besides the indisputable fact that, in 1980, the Italian FA picked a relative unknown in Enzo Bearzot to run the nationwide team. human beings frowned on him an analogous way they are actually frowning at Steve McClaren.....and he walked off with the 1982 international Cup.

No i dont think he is...ok he's having a good streak at the moment (or was). I dont think he actually knows what he's doing. The only thing i will take my hat off to, is he is making the players earn their place in the team. After he ditched Becks i think it made the players reliase that they aint invincible, there will always be someone younger and better to take over from them! Lets hope that brings some passion back into the game!

No he is not, he was poor when he was Middlesboro manager and he still is poor. When he became England manager he said" There will be more than plan A" I'm still waiting for plans B,C.D,etc .
My manager would have been Martin Oneill a man with passion who lives every moment and not someone who just sits there writing his shopping list pretending that he knows what he is doing....

NO, but im not just saying it because we drew the other night i didnt want him in the first place. i felt we should of got the best manager regardless of nationality which for me is Guus Hiddink, he has proved at international level how good he is, the whole process was a farce we just settled for him.
