Mollies and platies both are live bearers and most of the time the females will be pregnant before they get to your house. Both can bred with fish of a different strain of their own species (mollies can't breed with platies).

yes fish can have baby's from more than 1 male fish yes a batch of fish can be different colors

Mollys and platys are both live bearers. they wll have babys from different males in different broods, but it's not likley to happen in the same brood. The offspring are often many different colors, sometimes even different from either parent.

Yes and yes.. the female fish lays the eggs by spraying them in the water, then the male swims over them and sprays his sperm over them. if there are two different males, they will compete to fertilize the eggs.. which is kinda funny, since all the fish will then turn around and eat as many of the eggs they can find.. if you are trying to keep some of the eggs you need to move the adult fish into another tank..
