front or back yard
a barn held up by poles
leans against another building for extra storage

dooryard is the yard can be the front or back yard
lean to is a shed that is up against the main building

Cupboard - kitchen furniture that holds dishes
Pole barn - metal barn with wood frame
Lean to - shed built on to a shed
