Maybe she reminds you of someone who did you wrong, bullied you or lied to you. I would trust my instincts.

The two most likely explanations for your experience:
1. The co-worker reminds you in some way of someone who resembled her, someone who made you anxious in the past. You need not be consciously aware of the memory in order for this phenomenon to occur, and the likeness need not be in physical appearance. If this is the explanation, then your instinct IS lying, because it means you are not judging your co-worker on her own merits, but on the merits of someone else.
2. The human mind is good at picking up the meaning of others' non-verbal behaviors, but poor at being able to quantify how it's drawing the conclusions it does. You may be unconsciously noticing non-verbal cues from your co-worker that are leading you to regard her as not being trustworthy. In this case, your instincts are probably correct because the ability to detect these cues developed over thousands of years of evolution.

No,I don't believe they do.It's a God given defense mechanism,to warn us against danger, being hurt,or attacked in some way.I know I have very strong instincts. When I was younger,I thought I wasn't giving people a chance. That I was "guarding" myself against someone that has done nothing to me.Every time I would go against my instincts,I would end up getting "burned",by that person. Finally my wake-up call came when I went against my "gut" feeling when I was attacked and almost killed going to my car in a parking lot.For some reason I felt "scared" to go to my car,and I thought I must be getting paranoid. It was daylight, and I'm scared to go to my car? How ridicules, turns out I should've listen to my "gut " feeling after all.And since then I do.
You are being warned to something about this person.I would listen to your "gut" your heart or wherever your getting this feeling from.Take care and God bless

Sometimes there's something underlying that your instinct knows, you may not see it now. It will probably come out later. But I would trust my instinct.

It is good to trust your instincts, but sometimes people send out weird vibes (like when someone has social anxiety disorder), that might be what you are picking up, maybe not, who knows!

Instincts don't lie. But how do you know if it's your instincts or your mind that's confusing you?

Trust your instincts ..I think it dates back to our primitive forms when we lived by our wits...I feel if this person makes u uncomfortable there is a reason...avoid them as much as you can and don't get involved more than you have to with them...
