Final Fantasy 7 is pretty good- though the main guy is kinda a looser- only desides to help save the world after meeting a pretty godess type girl. Not only that, he has the chance to make a girlfriend out of this really cool girl who's whole motive for living is to help the people around her (Tifa.) (You should watch the movie- Cloud is a huge hunk in there- completely different in character if you ask me- a lot more manly.) Though in the end, all the characters are pretty cool. Cloud cleans himself up, and fights for his goddess type girl, Aerith, and finally kinda goes for Tifa. Over all, good story- kinda dark- but good!!! One questions though, why didn't they use a life materia when Aerith died? There are some holes in the game- some flaws- but not enough to break the game. The Chocoboa racing is fun!!! It's a classic japanese made game- drama- killing, sacrifice- Play it, it's good!!!
Final Fantasy 8- all ease and friendly ness- sweet game- though main guy is jerky- if you choose to be ^_^!! (you make choices throughout the game- and depending on your choices- you can be a jerk- or you can be a real sweetheart!!) I'm a sucker for romance, that's why I really like this game.
These games tie for me- both have VERY nice story lines, and are both very much worth it to play, buy, and keep. Once you start playing, you get lost in the story, and it becomes so real and fun- interesting, entertaining, and cool ^_^- I'm partial to RPG's though, and romance. Another classic Japanese story! Also, Final Fantasy 8 is FUNNY!!! Last Movie in the game, I almost died laughing- you've got to play this game!!! Very fun!!! OH! and the card game is fun!!!!
Both tie- Both Great- Both top-notch story lines!!!
You should try Xenogears if you like these games- also a VERY good game!!! Thanks for the question- brought me back to my past!!! ^_^!!!

Final Fantasy 7. Allthough I do like FF8's attack for Squall, and the junctions... but I think FF7 has a much better story line. Those are the only 2 I've played, other than Tactics, which is completely different from any other, do like the battle scenes though.

Final Fantasy X is is the best one i ever played. It look so damn great on my PlayStation 2 the best console.

Yes FF7 did have the best story of the series, but FFX had a decent story and killer graphics. I can't wait for FFXll to come out.

I liked all I have played so far. I guess even though the graphics were crude, the early ones. No cheat sheets, no on line anything you had to use your head some it seemed more fun.

im stuck between seven and ten because seven had the best story line as well as characters but ten was more fun to play and the mini-games were more entertaining.
