It all depends on whether you are discussing "Classical" or "Modern" liberalism. Can you be more specific?

A truthful answer to that question is that liberalism to the extreme breeds chaos. With that said, conseratism to the extreme creates oppression.
There is value to both points of view, but both are flawed as well. This is why balance between the two is important.

When emotions rule the decision making process failure is bound to occur.

Rationalizing based on how one feels has to be the biggest flaw of liberalism.

Too soft on crime, too trusting of human nature, always allegedly looking out for the greater good for all of us with their utopian agenda(sound more like socialism and communism)

The problem with liberalism is that they think nations like N korea can be bought off with peace and love but unfortunately we live in a place called reality. In the real world peace and love will get our hands bit off and our aid dollars will be spent on more nucs which will eventually be used against us. Although I do not agree with many of Bush's decisions, I admire that he has stuck to his guns and aggressively led our country. He has not fallen victim to polls or liberal pressure, fortunately for all of us he has not forgotten.

It relies too much on emotionalism than on logic.
It screams freedom when it really wants to silence anyone opposed to its narrow view of reality.
It sounds good, but in fact, has only led to a weakening government and a mob mentality in a former civilized society.

Appeasment is liberalism's biggest flaw.
Their trouble is that they think they are being humane, but in reality they are appeasing the enemy which wants them dead as much as it wants us dead.

If that's not a flaw, I don't know what is.
