a sentence is a group of words that makes sense! it has a subject and a predicate! a subject is a noun or a pronoun and the predicate is an action word or A VERB!

A sentence is the punishment given to a convicted person. It may be a fine, probation, suspended sentence or indeed imprisonment.

A sentence in language, is a series of words that when read make a point whilst making sense. It begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.

A sentence has two parts, a subject and a predicate.
Your subject will be a noun, like a dog, house, etc.
Your predicate is a verb, so your noun will be doing something.
There is also a object at the end.

-The man opened the gate.
Noun Verb Object.
