Hey everybody, I am moving into an apartment for my first time. But I have no Idea on how to turn on the water or electricity. What are the steps in doing that. And is there a charge for turning them on ?

You would need to call a water and electricity company and they will give you further instructions. Usually there is a fee.

You will have to contact the City for the water and the Electric Company for the electric. There will most likely be a "Deposit" for both services. Usually $50-$100. Could be less, could more, could be nothing, depending on your municipalities.

The apartment complex should give you the numbers to contact them.
