Oh no! You opened up such a can of whoop ***! But, my vote would go to Democratic! Shocker but it's true! Just look at the teacher of Jesus Christ.

If God was forced to choose a party (which he could not be forced too),
I am pretty certain his choice would be the Green party
As far fetched as the premise of God having to choose-
it is good for debate on all the things that most political parties are doing wrong!

I'll speak from my Christian perspective.
Jesus was very clear. His kingdom is not of this Earth.
He would not join a political party because the object of a political party is strength in numbers. He doesn't need that.
If through some event that I can't foresee, He did become a member of a political party, I think He would start his own. I doubt he would follow James Carville or Karl Rove.

in my view, any self-respecting human being should NOT belong to a party, but rather make voting decisions each time there is a new opportunity.
of course this can work only because I live in a country where the people actually do have the opportunity to vote on many issues - whereas in most of the rest of the world the people only have the right to elect representatives, and to shut up (or at best march in the street) afterwards.

This is a ridiculous question. If there was a God he would surely be neutral as far as political parties are concerned.
God could not be in a conflict of interests with his people. You only ask questions like this to stir up an illogical debate that you know would never be resolved.

He would not choose a party. He is greater than any institution set up by man and his judgment and rule would put all politics to rest as His view of us and how we should behave toward each other goes far beyond our ideas of how we should govern.

HAHAHA. Someone said that Repubs stick up for people! WOW. LAY OFF THE PIPE!
God, Allah, Buddha, Vishnu... they would all likely be independent cuz no political party has it right. However, they would tend to lean towards those individuals, regardless of party, that tended to the weak, poor, elderly, sick, etc.

God is against Gay practices. God wants to be worshiped, therefore present everywhere, even at the courthouse. God is pro-life. God created the institution of marriage a union between a man and a woman. Therefore, God would be in a party that shares His/Her views. Conservative. Republican.

I think God made us all human and we seem to be forgetting that, but if Jesus had to choose a political affiliation, I don't think it would be Republican!
