You can vote in November, and never vote for a Republican.

Vote against all the issues they place on the ballot.

You can write or send emails to all your representatives calling for Bush's impeachment.

You can spread the word that Bush and his Congress have killed Democracy.

You can pray that God will step in and intervene.

Because the Fascist republican majority is in control of congress, the white house and the majority of the supreme court. Checks and balances are right out the window.

They are also masters of using fear to manipulate people. Through out the '02 and '04 elections they made fear of terrorists the defining issue and stated themselves as the only answer. Of course their own intelligence people have shown that the war has made the US less safe, but of course that doesn't matter to them. Their goal was never safety, it was control.

People are becoming aware of the extreme injustices in the social structure, that is, the immoral gap between the haves and have-nots, privatization which means taking away God-given public resources from the public and giving them to a small group of people for their exclusive profit making, no proper health care, etc. As it becomes more clear to increasing number of people that it's really plutocracy (the rule of the rich) they have and not democracy, there's more need to control the population in order to maintain this system of exploitation. So now is the time to incarcerate people's sovereignty under guise protection...and sadly, there are enough politically and socially illiterate people around that they have got away with it so far. By the way, there were quite a few democrats who voted for this fascist bill, too.

The Bill clearly identifies what an illegal enemy combabant is. You and I wouldn't qualify because: a) we are U.S. citizens b) we are not attacking U.S. troops on a battlefield.

They can't just make people disappear. They can't search your house without a warrant.
