I am considering relocating to the South East as an internal job vacancy has come up in my company. I could live anywhere south of Luton down to the coast and as far west as Slough from the east coast. Does anyone have any ideas how much it would cost approximately to rent a house in this area ? It would be just for me but a shared house is not an option as I have 2 cats who would need to go with me. Thanks

Hi live about 10 miles from luton. I currently rent a house with my two cats, and i pay 600 a month. For one bedroom house/flat you are looking around 450 to 700, depending on requirements and size. If you want any more help, ask

Hertfordshire is the nicest area to live however the cost is slightly higher than bedfordshire and buckinghamshire. i live in herts near to bucks. i wouldnt recommend slough its high in crime rate. but then bedfordshire is also high in crime. the closer to bedfordshire you are the cheaper it is. in a nice part of stevenage a two/three bed house is £500 average the other end of the county can be it can be that for a one bed flat. i have mainly lived in hertfordshire and recommend that more and as i say if you are in north herts (10/15mins from luton) it is reasonably priced. hope that helps.
