Was Steph aka Martha Plimpton a lesbian in the film?

I seriously don't think they were trying to portray homosexuality in that film, that would have had nothing to do with the movie or have any reason for being in the plotline, besides she kissed one of the boys at the end of the movie didn't she?

No, her character had a crush on Sean Astin's character. Why would you even ask? Did you see her do or say anything 'lesbian' in Goonies? It was a movie for young people ya know...LOL! Hey did you know Martha Plimpton was on the last 3 episodes of 'Surface' last year. She's the scientist that created the sea creatures, at least that's what they were leaning toward when the show was cancelled. In real life, Marth was very close friends with River Phoenix. In fact, they dated for a while. Her father is Keith Carradine, the dad on "Complete Savages"... You know, she did always seem to play the 'tomboy' in her movies.

There was no indication of that. She reminded me of me in high school--always the buddy, never the girlfriend! Thankfully, that changed when I got to college. Besides, not every short-haired, flat-chested girl is a lesbian! Some of us were just late bloomers,

No, I don't think so. She was pretty confident when she kissed Mouth so I doubt it was a new experience for her.
Plus, if she was, she was really barking up the wrong tree hanging out with Andy, as she was definitely straight playing with all those guys.
Steph was kinda butch though...

I always thought that, she looks like a lesbian and sometimes acts like but probably in reality she's not.
