National express coach is prob going to be cheaper.
www.nationalexpress.co.uk
e.g 4 people going on friday 13th late buss going on sunday 15th - non refundable = 120, refundable = £170

There are some bacpacker busses that drive about UK

Cheapest Way To Newcastle

That is about as cheap as you will get, unless you can find one of NatExEast Coast very cheap tckets, and since you have looked on the website, I guess you can't for the time you want to travel. Not sure what the Newcastle Metro has to do with travel to London, however. Trains to London leave from Central Station (which is a stop on the Metro). I've booked in advance for a trip from West Sussex to Durham in July and am paying £39 each way using the cheapest advance singles.

Hi. Go on to www.megabus.com , iv already checked you can go from london to newcastle on it. just put in the number of passengers and the date and location and it will give you the price. after you do that, pay online. and print out the recieve. you get the bus from victoria green line coach station. You can travel with mega bus for as little as £1 with 50p booking fee. I live in london and always travel to Coventry, im a student and megabus is the cheapest cheapest option. Hope this helps . Cheapest way is to E-mail the Chief Constable of Northumberland and make some obscene remark about his wife. If you leave your address he will send a car down to pick you up, although you may not get to see the match!
Not seeing the game would be a plus in my book, great fans but sh*te team!

If time is of no importance, I would suggest walking is far and away the cheapest way.....

Are you going to St James Park? I was there yesterday and it was AWESOME!
I reckon Megabus is your best bet.
Have fun!
