Like who gets control of a certain region?

That is precisely what they mean.

The invasion of Iraq was for the sole purpose of gaining control of Iraqi oil fields.

UN sanctions were due to be lifted and Saddam Hussein had excluded US & UK oil companies from bidding on contracts to develop Iraq's oil & gas fields.

Saddam also reportedly intended to price Iraq's oil in euros rather than dollars. Which would have led to a collapse of the US economy.

Which led to the invasion & occupation.

Venezuela is also being vilified by the US & UK for the same reasons. Chavez nationalized the oil companies and that is the only reason the US & UK need to justify invading and occupying other nations.

I get your point, but better to say "world peace, but on our terms." If you oppose peace on the North's terms, then you shall not have any peace. Your country will be another Venezuela, Cuba, Iran or North Korea. Now I am not defending the human rights records of most of these countries I have named (North Korea is particularly nasty). But often they are no worse than many "developing democracies" which are dictatorships by another name. The difference is that they do not want to play the game by the North's rules.

Unfortunately yes. They are already almost ready for the next war (see link below).

Unfortunately, the peace they are thinking of is like the one where the native population of America was wiped out so there was no-one left to kill.

That's right, it is all about politics. When they say war piece, bascially they are using their power as deterrence. World peace is just another word for world power dominance.
