With your administration making threats against Iran for developing Nuclear wepons which even Western countries admit is the few years away and The Iranians are clearly stating they are not developing nuclear wepons. Now the North Koreans have been admitting they have the bomb years ago and have infact gone ahead and actually tested a nuclear wepon. This is a bigger threat to U.S security as North Korea has submarines with ballastic missiles which can reach U.S shores. For the nuclear powered north Korea Washington wants them to return to the six party talk with other countries and for a non nuclear Iran which is some years behind developing the Nuclear bomb, denies making the bomb use of force is not ruled out.

I see the misinformation machine is geared up here. Iran is a bigger threat to Europe and the middle east than it is to the US. They are the stakeholders in this. If Iran attacks the US, then Iran will be gone. Of that we are certain. We won't have to deploy one soldier. The same with North Korea. You think we don't know where each and every piece of war equipment is that North Korea owns and its very location? You are wrong there too. You biggest misinformation is the reason we are in Iraq and it had nothing to do with 9/11 or bin laden.

First of all Iran states they are not developing weapons but refuses to be transparent under the treaty they signed. They have turned away inspectors and have refused free nuclear energy reactors. In conjunction with this behavior they constantly threaten Israel and believe in a "end times prophecy".
North Korea's missile test failed miserably, so it's difficult to say about what they can and cannot target. North Korea is not interested in six party talks, they want direct talks solely with the US in order to blackmail the US for money, but continue on with their ambitions, as proven by the fact that this is exactly what they did under the Clinton Administration. China has a whole lot of say over North Korea and is the best party to end this. Do they want to is the question.

Just look at the size and layout of both countries. I'd be more concerned with an outwardly anti-american Iran than I would N. Korea. At least they will not launch a pre-emptive attack on the US, despite being hard-headed. Iran on the other hand, would be a nightmare if it had nuclear weapons. I don't think for a minute that they would hesitate to use them against us or anyone around them.

One thing you said is correct, and at all relevant. The US wants North Korea to engage in multi-lateral talks. North Korea poses a clear threat to its neighbors, China, South Korea, and Japan, not the United States.
The US has always declined an invitation to bi-lateral talks because North Korea is not a US problem. Plus our allies and trading partners have requested that we not engage in bi-lateral negotiations with North Korea. This also holds to the US principle of not holding talks with nutjobs who use threats of force to leverage talks.
The North Korean nuke tests are more about forcing the US into bi-lateral talks than any other reason.

H-m-m-m-m I can see the Republicans are out in full force today and the BS machine is opened to full throttle. What if North Korea had oil? Bush and Co. know if they start fighting with NK the bombs will start hitting SK within minutes and they never had any intent of starting with NK. Bush the BS decider is at it again and there are still fools buying into it while watching these morons piss all over the USA and then defending the bast*rds. You people are sick and you are clueless to the whole concept of reality.

North Korea and Iran should be dealt with at the same time by having talks with the neighboring countries and the inept UN to decide what other actions to take.

One has to wonder why starving nations like North Korea or Theocracies like Iran are choosing to use their valuable resources for something as ridiculous as nuclear weaponry. All of that money sitting in some silo--look at all of the money tied into the US & former Soviet Union's stockpile. As we see, it is not keeping any of us any safer than a world without nuclear bombs.

Actually the threat to the US is minimal in either case. The threat to other countries in the regions concerned, however is real. There is no negotiating with either country.
