always best to give the ob/gyn a call and let them know if you are feeling badly, and running fever. they know you best, and may advise you to check in with family doctor, and just keep a watch on things. I was fooled once with what I thought was stomach flu but it was early labor- like at only 6 months. I am not trying to worry you that direction at all- but when I called the office, they had me come in just in case... and I was really glad they did. So, a general rule for me- any illness while pregnant, I giev the office a call. And dont worry about bothering them either- thats what they are there for.

You have to be very careful when you have a stomach bug and fever while pregnant. You need to make sure that you don't get dehydrated. Your body produces twice the amount of blood while you are pregnant. This means you need to take in more fluids to compensate for that. When you have a fever your body starts to naturally dehydrate. (at a quicker rate while pregnant) You need to make sure that you are drinking plenty of fluids and that you are keeping them down. If you are unable to do that then you need to call your doctor at the first signs of dehydration. (dry mouth, dry lips, poor capillary reflexes..which means when you push on your finger nails it takes a long time for the color to return)

Contact your doctor first, but Tylenol is fine to take while pregnant. Do not get dehydrated, make sure you keep drinking no matter what. Try to eat as much as you can to, but mostly keep drinking as much fluids as you can.
