I'm sure it has been done many times. Go back and use an old school "turbo 350" I would normaly recommend a 400 but I think you are going to run into issues with size and the 350 is a little bit smaller but it will work just fine for what you need. You are also going to have to change out the rear end and of course it will most likely have to be shortened to fit. You are going to need a custom ladder system as there will be no traction due to the lack of weight on the rear end.

I think you are going to have to spend a bunch of $$ to do it correctly......and when you are all done you are still going to have a 94 s10.

Seems pointless to me...

Engine/transmission/mounts/driveshaft/gear slector... all these
items will require custom installation and modification...i.e. the
engine will require the mounts modified in your chassis and the
oil pan will have to clear your steering. The Trans will require a
crossmember and mount. The radiator may have to be relocated
forward and mounted. The drive shaft will have to be shortened and balanced. The rear end will not take all the HP that you are
going to put to it... I would recommend converting to a 9" Ford
rear end with gears and 31 spline axles... and a Fat wallet

If you use an LT1 try to use the 4L60E transmission it came with in the camaro. You will also need the wiring from the car it came out of or buy new wiring kit out of Summit Racing or Jeg's.
