Any time...if you are willing to fly from Glasgow.
Check out flyglobespan.com
I'm just back from a months holiday to Florida and we stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn at Sea World and had flights and transfers for under £900 per person and that was two people in two rooms. This was only possible because we got the cheap flights. Plus, we booked these in advance and not when the prices went down even further with the terror alert.
And also, economy on flygobespan was better than Premair Gold with MyTravel! I wouldn't dream of using another airline now. It was great at this time of year. The plane was virtually empty and we each had three seats to ourselves to stretch out on. Another thing I didn't know before flying was that because we didn't like the meals we didn't book and thought all we could buy was snacks- wrong! You can buy 5 or 6 different airline-type meals on board too (different to the ones that you could pre-book).
Apart from being cheap (as in ridiculously cheap), it is a far superior airline (transatlantic only, I didn't enjoy a flight to Spain with them). And I like Business class on BA to JFK, so it must be good.
Here I go again: they fly every day during the summer and in winter every couple of days.
Seriously now, it is worth the hassle of getting to Glasgow. You wont be dissapointed, just have a look at prices for different times of year.

A good time to travel is immediately after new year. The flight prices drop from their christmas high, and the hotels are much cheaper. Ideally, you'll need to fly to London for your flight. BA & Virgin have flights to Orlando. US carriers also fly but they usually stop off at one of their Hubs on the way. (With one stop anyway between Aberdeen and London, a third is a bit much in my book!)
I'm afraid one of the other writers got the exchange rate way wrong! I wish it was 7 dollars to the pound, but at the moment it's around $1.85 to the pound. Still a heavty saving.
If your looking for a good site to get a bargain hotel room, try www.priceline.co.uk. You tell them how much your willing to pay for a hotel and they try to find someone. I stayed in California this summer, and paid £23 a night for a 4 star hotel! Last year, I went to NYC and paid £75 a night for the 5 star Waldorf Astoria!!! An absolute bargain for that one! Start low, and if they don't accept your price wait a day and try again a little higher! Good luck, and enjoy Orlando!

It starts to get cheaper around now until Feb time (avoiding any kids hols and Xmas that is). Generally the prices dont drop that much, however Im sure you could get a good last minute deal rather than book in advance.

The first two weeks in December are good, Thanksgiving is over and the prices haven't gone over the top before the Christmas holidays, the weather isn't bad either at that time of year

Flights and hotel cost less when it's our summer.
For cheap rates, try June, July and Aug.
