Sanctions (UN's favourite response) won't stop North Korea. That will only make the people of the North suffer under harder conditions. The party members and Kim will still have everything they need. How is depriving food or power to NK going to help the people there who are already starving and miserable?
Should the UN resort to military action to finally crush Kim Jong-il?

Where are the party leaders going to get everything they need? Even China is pissed off with NK for this.

Who is going to resort to military action to get rid of Kim Jong-il though? Perhaps the best solution would be for China to do it. Given that they are interested in preserving the communist regime in Pyongyang, they would most likely be against a UN invasion. However, they have soundly condemned the test blast and evidently are not pleased with the current leadership there.

N.Korea is like a spoiled child crying for attention. They have been pissed off because the world has been looking at the middle east and basically ignoring lil Kim. The bomb they let off today defies the entire rest of the civilized world. What should we do? Give them a cookie? Sorry about the N Korean People, but the bombing and military thing hasn't been working out to well as of late either.

This is priceless.

Firstly, most Americans say the UN is useless, and won't play by its rules.

Then, you demand it does your dirty work for you.

Jesus, you guys are real hypocrites, you know that?
