Put some apple cider vinegar in a glass and put a funnel in it. My wife saw that on Yahoo answers about a week ago, and tried it. It works great, they get in but can't get out.

Put a small amount of apple cider vinegar in a shallow glass, add a drop of dish detergent...they will be attracted to the vinegar and the dish detergent will prevent them from flying away. The real answer is to get rid of the source..what is attracting them?

Find the source. They are probably invading the roots of your indoor plants. If so you must take the plant outside and spray it with a bug killer insecticide. Then water the insecticide into the soil or re-pot. The ones left inside your house, can be attracted to light. So at night turn off all lights except one outside (maybe garage or porch). Leave the door open and they will go outside.

Instead of spending money on costly pest control, you can get rid of flies by removing the food source and using soap water. I found the information at http://www.pests.in useful.

unsure why you may desire to kill them. i think of the situation is to maintain them from bothering you. stay away from scented toiletries and candy beverages. save your food section sparkling. consume interior a screened section. Use citronella torches and candles around your camp section to maintain them at bay. ... and stay away from bananas, mosquitoes love banana-eaters.
