When I see farmers out in the fields getting ready for planting season that makes me want to be a kid again. When I was a kid I would go out on the tractor with my dad when he was breaking the ground to plant and I would just sit there and be happy to be with him. My dad died when I was fourteen, that was twenty-four years ago. I'm a mom now and I wish that my children could have had the opportunity to do the same things that I did with my dad. They never knew my dad. Now I can only tell them stories and it's not the same.

I have to agree that chasing after the ice cream truck, getting kid's menues with the crayons, and the staying up late factors are all things that I really miss. I miss being able to go out on a snowy day and building an igloo and having snowball fights. I miss puddle jumping. I miss mom and dad catching me when I came down a slide. I miss jumping in leaf piles.I miss getting teased by my brothers. I miss the treefort days. I miss climbing trees. I miss getting all excited when seeing my gifts under the xmas tree, and arranging them into a pile so that I could unwrap them faster than my siblings. I miss pony rides, now I'm too heavy :(
I miss my childhood... but it being relived right now by my kid sister... so I can take my place beside her and help her learn how to crochet and bead for the first time ever.
Hope my answer blessed you. Have a happy monday!

Oh man, I would kill to be 19 again...let alone being a kid!
You think it's "odd" running after the ice cream truck when you're 19? Pfffft...you should see a middle aged, balding guy running after it.
Being a kid is all about your own perceptions...not what people think...so chase after that ice cream truck, demand crayons with every meal...and for gods sake keep jumping in puddles!

Everything I see my daughter doing - playing in the spray of the hose on a warm day, coloring outside the lines, jumping into a pile of leaves, riding a tricycle, making a mess while eating something as small as an M&M......lots of things :)

for me the thought of going to school stoped it every time, but when i was a kid i love summer get up late, eat cream in the afternoon, lying in the blanket watching the sky and the cloud passes by, and my grandmother cooking, playing in the rain stump in the water hole or mud hole and don't have to worry a bout any thing in the world

I miss so much the pure excitement at Christmas. The anticipation where i couldn't even sleep. The just pure joy without worrying about the money or anyone breaking their arm. No responsibility, not even for my self.

I had a bad childhood, but who hasn't,But if I could be a kid again,I would love to be friends with my kids, they are the coolest and most loving kids I know.So if I could hang out with them as another kid that would be cool, even if it was for a day.

Why miss it and just go do those things. Nothing is stopping you. Unless your friends are no shows and don't want to come out and play.
