John Lennon was a hero to many, starting off as an orphan, adopted by his aunt mimi, his father left him at a young age, his mother killed in a car accident, he overcame alot. he led a life full of confusion, his aunt always wanted him to do things correctly but never really truely showed him how to go about doing so. She pushed him hard, and even sent him to an art school, just for him to drop out and start his own career. John lennon was a musical genious, that is while he was with the beatles. He was a very peace oriented person who knew that the world would fall without peace. And i know if he were still alive he would still be out rallying for peace, love and happiness amonxed us all. John lennon is someone who i look at with the most respect. He changed the world with just a few lyrics, and hes still doing it even though hes gone. rest in peace my friend, rest in peace

If you're talking about Beatle John Lennon I loved him. I thought he was a great songwriter. If you're talking about his son Julian, I liked his song Too Late for Goodbyes.

The most important figure in the development of the Progressive Rock of the years 1964-1973. It was his artistic sensibility and questing spirit that led to the Beatles always trying to top themselves and incorporate new sounds and influences, and the rest of the music world followed suit. Without him it probably would not have happened.

One of a kind. Led the way away from music being manipulated and controlled by Music companies. His message of world peace was pure and, admittedly naive. But obviously he was a man of great importance during a time of great upheaval, when the country was shaking of its infancy and stretching into adloescence.

I imagine he would be very disappointed with the sad state of affairs in this world. Very big loss and I remember where I was when I heard the news of this loss. By the way, he would be 66 years old now.
