While North Korea has carried out the test they are probably at least 5 years away from having a weapons capability that could be a serious threat. Strong sanctions will now be imposed upon them and anyone that trades with them. While it's hoped that would be enough to make them relent you can be sure that, as the clock ticks, more and more inter-continental missiles will be turning in their direction.

Ok...
After Afghanistan and Iraq, you want to go after a guy who made it public knowledge that they were testing a nuke?
Bush went into Iraq because it was suspected that Hussein was using chemical warfare.
(Shh! Democrats, you're not perfect either)
Clinton went into Kosovo because it was suspected that there was an "ethnic cleansing" afoot.
Granted both of those reasons turned out to be mistakes, but this isn't a mistake. They also did not use it on others regardless of it being people within or outside of their boarders.
Finally do you think we should go after every nuclear country? So lets go after India, they're nuclear. How about Pakistan? Why are they not a threat to you? Better yet, lets just go for China and wipe humankind off the face of the earth.

Get a grip of yourself, if North Korea is such a threat then don't you think that they would use their nuclear arsenal against anyone that strikes them. They are like a spoilt child looking for attention. We need to talk to them and ask what they're wanting and take it from there. Get China to take a more active role.

do you know how many thousand of american service people are in Korea to this day, since the 50's, maintaining the border? if America were serious about Korea, we wouldn't have the problem we face today. Further, America does not deal with rogue nations who have nuclear capability. Bullies are afraid to fight other bullies.
you should look at the history of Korea for the last 75 years to understand what's going on and why the policeman of the world is not responding as one would expect

It will be a threat to China who is growing economically and is becoming a huge power , China's growth will slow down if North Korea will start to be a serious threat , Are they shifting the problems from the middle east to the east? it is time they do..

The US, Europe and Israel does not care about what is happeing in Korea. No oil, resources or land worth taking.
Anyway, our governments are busy trying for Armageddon "rapture" closer to home. Read the article on the MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) and/or NUT (Nuclear Use Theory) preparations for attacking Iran and Syria in the link below.

We're spreading ourselves a bit too thin. North Korea is more of a threat to Japan, South Korea and even CHina. All of them are pissed off. Let them or the UN deal with that nut. If they can't get it done, then we'll step in.

Why is it always down to the bloody Americans to decide what is or isn't necessary - look at the balls-up they've made everywhere else in the world!
The Americans are still the only nation paranoid, irresponsible and frankly, stupid enough to have ever dropped the bomb.
If anywhere needs a "regime change", it's the Yanks.

Iraq, Sudan, Afghanistan was easy meat, and they had nothing to fire back.
The Koreans are not soft like the Arabs and will "Strike back at the Empire"
The Korean war could not be won last time around, it seems nothing is learned from history by our politicians.
