I used to be able to connect with my home network but now i cant does anyone have any ideas as i am stumped, the network says my laptop is connected but noone can access anything from me, and i cant access even the lists of comps connected to it.

If you are using Windows XP try a System Restore to a date on which you were connected.

Check TCP/IP Settings.Check in device manager that your network card is properly installed or not.
Check the ip address & subnet mask ,etc.
Other wise reinstall TCP/IP & Network card drivers or update the drivers.
If you r using Windows XP also check the firewall settings on your NIC. Try to disable it & verify.

It's been my experience that one of two things has happened. First, it may not think it's part of the workgroup anymore. Try rejoining the computer to the workgroup (right click my computer, then go to properties, computer name)
Second, you may have a firewall issue. Try disabling Windows firewall, and any other firewall program you may have installed.

One of these two, or both, should fix your issue.

You want to make sure that NetBios over TCP/IP is enabled. Open you network connections and doubleclick your network conenction. Select Properties, Internet Protocol, Properties, Advanced, WINS tab, select NetBios over TCP/IP. Restart your pc and then browse your network.

it is by way of fact they is an obstrustion on your connection that saysthere is aconnection yet there extremely isnt or your router isnt good. i had a similar situation. I cant say what fastened it by way of fact i wasnt there while my uncle and pa fastened it yet there is a thank you to restoration it.
