i think it should be pulled of the market . I think it gives the impression that you can have sex with no consequence . Kind of like a free ticket to do what you want . I am so tierd of all theses girls who say they use it . I would never !!

i am not clossed minded and i know that some people use the because of rape , i am not condeming them . i just think that is wrong just to have sex and take the pill. Their are so many ladies who would love to be mother that cant. for the people who use it for birthcontrol its wrong , like it was said it dosent prevent stds but it will stop a pregnancy . But hey theirs always meds for the diseases they get . By no means do I hate anyone

Me too!! People don't face their mistakes anymore!! We are teaching our kids how to have an "instant fix" to a problem!! That is so unrealistic!! That pill is still murder. When it comes to abortion, I AM close-minded!! I'm not afraid to admit it! Yeah, it is really sad that so many girls don't give a second thought to killing their own flesh and blood! They probably spend more time coordinating their outfits before school.....really sick and sad!!!

I think this is a closed mined society. The morning after pill is a high dose of birth control and if you go somewhere like a doctor and want the morning after pill you must take a pregnancy test first in order to make sure you aren't already pregnant. They don't want you using it to kill a baby. It just prevents the egg from implanting which is exactly what birth control pills do. Have you ever researched the morning after pill? Do you know how it works? Or did you just hear a closed minded opinion on it and just decide to go with it?
Really I'm not trying to be harsh but you shouldn't really be harsh to people you dont know at all. Judgement will come to girls who are careless and last time I checked you nor myself or anyone else here will be doing the judging.

I don't see how it is equal to abortion. It is just a high dose of birth control and works in a similar way (preventing implantation of an egg, thickening of the cervix walls). I think it is a good thing and if more people were aware of it, we wouldn't have so many abortions. It's not a good form of main birth control and shouldn't be used as such, but mistakes will happen and if there is a viable option to prevent pregnancy, I don't see what the problem is, especially since it works like the birth control pill. Many people confuse the morning after pill with the RU-486 abortion pill, but they are NOT the same thing! THIS WOULD NOT CAUSE YOU TO LOSE YOUR BABY! It is a high dose of birth control, such as Alesse or some other similar brand, that prevents the implantation of an egg in a similar way that the pill does! People shouldn't equate it with abortion if they don't even know what they are talking about!

Just to start, you don't have any right to "condemn" anyone.
It isn't like an abortion. Read the Plan B website before you go getting all high and mighty. If you're already pregnant, it doesn't do anything. It prevents ovulation, fertilization, and implantation.
Furthermore, it's expensive. And it causes horrible nausea and vomiting, so I sincerely doubt anyone would use it as their only method of birth control. And if they do, it's really hardly any of your business.
Have you never made a mistake? Cut these people some slack.

I have to put aside my religious beliefs, because I was an unwanted child. Many times I wished I had not been born. I was thirty before I was treated right by any but a few family members or friends and strangers. --If you feel so strongly that pregnancy is a CONSEQUENCE, then perhaps you should volunteer at an orphanage or an adoption agency. Children need love more than they need life. See it for yourself.

Kind of scary...just thinking that someone could put that pill in someone's drink and cause them to lose their baby....Like a guy who didn't want the responsibility of having a kid, and his girlfriend was pregnant...I could easily see a stressed out young guy trying to get rid of the pregnancy for his own benefit.
I am not completely against abortion, but with this pill on the market, NOBODY has an excuse to get one now.

It doesnt give the impression that one can have sex with no consequence. The morning after pill offers no protection against STDs. The only thing it takes cares of is an unwanted pregnancy. It is ok to be on the pill, but not take the morning after pill?
However, I am against pills of all nature, so.....

well good for you for deciding not to use it, but not so good for judging those that do. but i would not judge someone so quickly who would use it when i think it is a good idea, generally speaking, but it should ONLY be available thru prescription, cause I believe it gives women the impression they can have that extra back up in case they are dumb enough not to have unprotected sex! it shouldn't be viewed as birth control!
on another note, it might be the same as abortion, but not...you don't even know you are definitely pregnant when you take it...with a clinical abortion, you do!

Accidents happen and unplanned sex can happen. The MAP is better than a baby born to someone who isn't capable of nurturing that baby, babies thrown away in the street and surgical abortion. The pills don't always work, I hear. Better to be smart and keep the legs closed.

LOL.. Hate me all you want. Ive used it.. LOL.. its even sold of the counter in my country. :P I dont think it give anyone that impression. Its a form of birth control in case mistakes happen.. LIKE the CONDOM Breaks.. OR YOU ARE RAPED. Closed minded are we?
By the way, the morning after pill only stops an egg from attaching to the uterus wall. It doesnt murder anything or anyone. I think you all should do a little more research to full understand what you are talking about and these extreme conclusions you all are making.
