Even when perpetrators are convicted of their crimes (which is not often enough), the victims are still abused by the system. They are treated by the criminal justice system more as an annoyance then as victims in need of compassion and justice. I can not tell you the number of times I have seen those in law enforcement interrogate a rape victim or an abused child as if they were the criminal. It makes me sick.

Too hard? The courts aren't being hard enough! How is giving someone expensive workout equipment, nice TVs, nice beds, and better meals then half of America punishing someone? I've heard so many stories of people purposely doing something to go back into jail because jail life is better than their home life. You want to punish someone give them a lumpy old bed to sleep on and bread and water to eat. That's how it should be.

Victims are never ever truly taken care of by the courts. The hurts, pains and dealings of after being a victim are not made better by a monetary settlement.

I don't know what country you are in but in the UK criminals are certainly not being treat to hard...most ordinary folk are now getting to the stage where they are just about ready to take the law into their own hands..we are sick of the Mammby Pambby Nanny State pandering to these thugs...maybe time to bring back Hanging..the stocks and the birch...the soft glove approach isn't working lets give the thugs a good hiding see how they like it...

I don't think courts are hard enough on criminals in general. There are too many rapists and murderers going free and repeat offenders that don't allow justice to be served to their victims.

Too hard on criminals??????? are you joking?? When Balir came to power his motto was 'Tough on crime ....tough on the causes of crime'! B*llocks! Have you noticed the news recently (Particularly the Labour media wing ....the BBC) apparantly we have no space left for criminals in jail!!!!!! Is that because he was right and murderers are NOT getting only 2 years (For good behaviour) or is it because the jails are full of 'Law abiding citizens' who have paid their way through life but can't can't afford the taxes this 'pathetic immigrant loving government 'impose on them???? Victims? what are they??? OR AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT THIS GOVERNMENT THINKS!!!!!
