Or lose half of their well earned benefits from Social Security?
Do any older people, especially republican voters, ever consider this?

Leogirl:As a Libertarian, I have no faith in either party, so I would agree with you, except for the obvious fact that it is the right, not the left, that make the biggest stink about traditional family values.

Btw, it's nice to debate with another growling Leo-LOL.

I'm quite certain that the 5 billion Bush appropriated to prevent gay marriage could have been placed into Social security, as well as adoption programs to prevent the abortions they care so much about.

Yes they do. At that age the reason for marriage is different. When you is in the child rearing mode the commitment is more necessary for the kids. Most of that age are in their low income stage of their life. Without a commitment many have or will walk away.

Social Security was never designed to be a sole retirement benefit. It is going broke today. When the peak of the baby-boomers cycle thru there is a high probability there will be no funds for any liberal agenda or the military.

Well this has been on the books for years, why didn't the Democrats do anything about it when they had control? Because they didn't want to, that is why. Most seniors vote republican because of the Democrats fiscal policies. Democrats seem to keep glossing over that they are the tax and spend party, and very quickly turning into the socialist party.

Funny that the "caring" Dems never did anything about this, or anything for that matter. If it wasn't for the Republican congress under Gingrich nothing would have gotten done for Clinton to take credit for.

Maybe the baby boomers should be better with their money instead of trying to spend every penny "never getting old."
