Online Communities have greatly increased traffic all around the planet. It's impossible to point to one specific movement. You know w/o the net, communication between movers and shakers would be alot more difficult to achieve. The speed and such had made one day to the next earth shaking. Im's, E-mails, text messages have opened doors thatr were never there to begin with.

There are way too many to list. Think about all the diseases in the world and all the forums you can go to for support. The Internet offers so much information and support that it helps people all over the world 24/7.

Well, my girlfirend recently passed away from Cancer, she used to go on this forum or message board for cancer patients all the time, and she got moral support from everyone there.

So that's a great way to help a serious issue, don't you think?
