My beautiful wife will be 39 at the end of this month. Any ideas? Did the spa thing for Valentine's day and I, being male, have been wracking my brain for weeks and have come up with nothing that fits the situation. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, Why don't you find out what she really wants. Every wife lets their husband now in some way. Little hints she may be leaving you around the home, or maybe when you are out shopping together she points and says: "I would love to have this". Just open up your eyes a little more and you will know what your wife wants. Also let the gift come from your heart. She would like that a whole lot more than any kind of material that didn't come from your heart.

greetings Fred
I'm so pleased to see a husband really thinking about this.
I'm a romantic at heart, so my answers will be in that vein, if you know
that she is NOT romantic then my answer may not be applicable.

My ultimate gift from my partner would include a love letter
for example
I'm so grateful you are in my life because....
I remember when.....
I really like it when.....
You are so good at.....
when I look at you I think.....
If I had a magic wand I would.....
I hope we.....
I will always love you because......

you know what she really really enjoys doing but perhaps has not
had a chance in a long time......some sort of hobbie, or dream, or
activity...you could help set that up.

and of course her favourite flowers and a romantic dinner with just the two
of you is always good.

Trust your gut and what ever you do while thinking about how much
you love her, will be the right thing.
best wishes

I am 39 this month also. I am hoping my husband will forget! Women don't like to be reminded they are getting older. LOL. IFor one of my birthdays,my husband had organised for the kids to stay at his mother's for the night. he then cooked a candle-lit dinner. After dinner, he poured me a glass of wine and ran me a lovely hot bubble bath, complete with candles etc. By the time I had gotten out of the bath, he had covered our living room floor with flower petals, and had lit candles etc all around. There was a sheepskin mat in the middle of the floor. He was lying there naked, with gift wrap around him. One birthday, I will never forget ! It's an idea........

If I knew what city you were in, I would be able to give some going out ideas. Or rent out a small restaurant and give her a surprise get together with close family and friends. Or get one of the family to arrange it at their homes (if she enjoys this sort of thing). Enjoy whatever you end up doing for her. I am sure she will appreciate whatever you decide.

I used to work at a florist and one day this guy did this for his fiances birthday, it was soooo sweet!

He set it up with the secretary where she worked first, and then he came to us and had all kinds of stuff sent to her, flowers, candles, candy, balloons, gift baskets, bath and body stuff, anything you could think of. We took it all their in the morning, and the secretary hid it all, and evey hour brought her 1 thing. She was reminded all day long how much he loved her, and really appreciated how special he made the day! Hope this helps! good luck!
