Let's say you have a co-worker who one day asks you to join them outside for lunch on the the picnic tables the company just installed. After eating pizza, he light up a joint and asks if you want to share or have one of your own. Although having or consuming drugs at the work site is a violation of policy and law, what do you do?
Inform his supervisor, safety coodinator, or HR mgr?
Tell him he shouldn't smoke at work and encourage him to to seek help?
Say nothing, excuse yourself, & hope that when he returns to work, his reflexes aren't slowed, mental powers and percepions aren't lessened, or that he won't become more forgetful or injure himself or someone else?
Other?

Well what he is doing is very wrong. I would definitely end up telling either his supervisor or the HR manager. If you dont then you are just as guilty as he is. You have ab obligation as an employee to do the right thing.

We have seen D(F) smoking right there in work place.

One of our co worker smokes bcos COO has told so.

When your boss is pressurising to do something or as if you are born yesterday to feel, Pl read

1. The co worker may not be knowing it at all. Ask your HR manager to come out and create awareness.

2. Pl suggest your safety co- ordinator to get Smoke detectors installed 4 sake of Safety.

3. Pl go straight and tell COO to instruct all persons accordingly.

4. You don't have to do it. If some1 asks 4 the reason, pl take my name.

Usually i would say just let it go but you are at work and he could hurt himself or someone else. If you are worried about seeming like a tattle tell. Send an anonymous tip to his immediate supervisor. Good Luck!!

If you value you your job; steer clear of this person. It's imperative that you let them know you are not interested in doing drugs at work and not to ask you again.

I wouldn't necesarrily report them to HR, as this could cause an awkward situation in the workplace. I would only report them if you feel they become a liability or if they keep asking you to get high.

Unless its affecting anyone directly don't be a tatle tale. He will get caught eventually but yu dont want to be the one that told because your other co-workers may think you are untrustworthy.

There is another option. Accept his offer and spend the rest of the day totally skanked, screw the company policy. Not that I'm advocating this of course, goodness me no.

Don't say anything, you will only look bad! He will get caught, just don't let it be you who told anyone.
