You'll see it on you body as pregnancy progresses and body changes. Eat properly and drink enough water and you should be able to get through without slapping on 40 lbs. 20 is about right. Some ppl, like myself, never gain more than 10. You may find yourself experiencing water retention which can blow you up like a balloon.

It depends on you and your pregnancy. Every pregnancy is unique in its own way. My first trimester, I lost about 7 pounds, and I have only gained 3 back. I will be 5 months in about a week. So really I have not gained any more than I weighed before. Hope this helps. I'm sure your doc, will tell you if you need to gain more weight.

I started feeling and seeing the weight gain around 4 months with both of my pregnancies... At 5 months I was noticeably pregnant.

Congrats on the pregnancy!

Every woman is Different !

With my first baby , i gained 15lbs
with my 2ed baby i gained 25 lbs.

talk to your doc. weight gain depends on your body !! an dont worrie so much about how much , just make sure you eat right, for you an your baby!! walking helps alot , it gets you ready for Birth an helps keep the weight undercontrol !!!

It really depends on the woman. I didn't put on any weight until my 2nd trimester and even then it wasn't much. I put most of my weight on during my 3rd trimester. Everyone is different.

by five months its generally 10-15 pounds that you put on. not so much during the middle part, and then towards the end you can put on another 10 pounds or better.
