NO! Take a deep breath, make a coffee, and walk away. Lock them or yourself in a room and have some time out. Go for a wallk or something. Never hit them. If they know that you are likely to do this, they will try it again, and it will only end in dire consequences for you! There is too much child abuse around. If you are that angry, you might go over the top, and end up with a life sentence for it, one way or another. Either imprisonment, or badly injuring, or god forbid, even killing the child. Put some space between you and this child when you are at breaking point.

That's a bad way to go. Do your best not to strike the child. It sounds like you need professional help on how to handle this. Maybe you can give the child some medication to calm him down.
