Or is it just me?

It seems like since Laffy Taffy was released, they all have the same beep and snap rhythm.

uh..if you knew me, you'd know I am a huge fan of what Outkast has done. The only thing I'm discriminating against is this crap that keeps being produced over and over again.

There's way too much crap out there that sounds the same because they're trying to stick to a formula that's profitable. That's the problem......it's more about making money than artistic ability. There is (and was) plenty of good, unique rap music around. Some examples......Jurassic 5, Kanye West (even though he's a sellout), The Fugees, DeLaSoul, Public Enemy, Digable Planets, Arrested Development, Jay-Z, A Tribe Called Quest, Black Sheep, and many others.

And it didn't start with "Laffy Taffy".......this has been happening for a long time (how about EU (Da Butt), Snow, Vanilla Ice, Tag Team, "Who Let the Dogs Out", Gerardo.....plenty of others).

I'm a hip hop fan, but yes, to me all new rap songs sound the same. It's a shame.
