So many analysts and political hot-shots were saying that we should just leave N korea alone back when they were test firing missles into Japanese air space. They were soooo many years from producing long range weaponry or nuclear weapons.

Yeeeeeeah.

Where are those people now?

Mel t, you didnt watch the news during the missle tests? Every news company had someone saying the same thing "theyre atleast ten years from producing nuclear weaponry". Just another way of putting the masses at ease.

Yeah, clinton didnt buy them off, clinton let the six party discussions slip. There was 8 years of absolutely no productive communication beween N Korea and anyone, except China. It was China that begged the US to come back into the six party discussions under this bush admin.

I heard the news reports and you only heard them with Neocon ears or your comprehension is way low. Go back and check your facts, they are what you want them to be, not real facts.
"from producing long range weaponry" The news did not say "or nuclear weapons." you added that in your misrepresentation of the facts. You must have watched FOX news. Most experts have known for years North Korea had 5000 Centrifuges. They just don't have the means to deliver what they have made with them. Unless they have a reason to buy it from another country or to sell pure stuff to the Terrorist's. Why do you want to Invade that country along with Iraq and Afghanistan just to find out?
BTW, Bush has refused to speak with North Korea, that is a very big blunder. Now lets see if Bush acts without the UN to support the USA and invades another country to look for WMDs.
North Korea is far more dangerous than Iraq ever was.

you're making extremely some good factors. interior the top, it may be extra perfect if no-one had any of those bloody issues, yet people who've them have signed all varieties of non-proliferation treaties as a fashion to attempt and cut back their unfold. the unhappy element is that North Korea and Iran are in simple terms certainly one of those international places you do not prefer with nuclear weapons on the grounds that they are aggressive, xenophobic international places who're attempting to get the means as a fashion to threaten and blackmail their neighbours. such as you assert, i could extremely no-one had them, exceptionally not u.s., yet i could like it even much less if a number of those loose cannon countries had them.

If your going to make a statement claiming that "so many analysts and political hot shots were saying" what you alledge, then back it up with fact. In the news business that's called responsible journalism. is that to much to ask on Yahoo answers?

Honestly, I don't recall that. We've known they've been close for years. It's why Clinton bought them off. We've known they've actually had a bomb for ..what at least a year? I know it's been a while. Are you thinking of Iran?
