Chew on a sprig of fresh parsley, one leaf should do, or the rind of an orange peel. These both get rid of garlic on the breath so they should help too with whatever is in your mouth. (They don't need to be eaten, just chewed on, so spit them out once you're done.) Perhaps you have an abscess, rotting tooth or a cavity. If you have the time and the money go to the dentist first to rule those out. That's what happened to my mother once. Even with her 3 times a day oral hygeine her breath was still bad because she needed a root canal on some of her teeth.

Oh Lord...with the drooling, it is possible he has been poisoned. There should be an emergency after hours vet you can call to ask if there is something you can do for him at home, but he really really needs to be seen. I'm assuming he has had all his shots, particularly rabies? Drooling is a symptom of rabies as well. You could also take a look in his mouth and throat. When our cat Jake was a kitten, he kept coughing and gagging. My mother took a look in his throat, as a joke (I'd just had strep throat, and we'd been shining flashlights down each other's throat for days). He had a threaded needle embedded across his soft palate, and the thread was irritating his throat and causing him to cough and gag. He got lucky, it lodged. My hands were the smallest, so following the vet's instructions I pushed the needle deeper on one end so i could free the other end and dislodge it. The vet didn't even want us to bring him in, he was afraid to take the time and the additional risk of moving him. There could be an obstruction somewhere. I don't know...It's the weekend, could you wake your kids up and take them with you?

Go see a doctor, and a dentist, as if you brush your teeth and drink regularly water, it is not normal.
As your mouth does apparently not always smell, it might be linked to your digestion and not to your teeth.
Better see a doctor first, as bad breath may be a symptom of dysfunctional digestions and maybe (usually not serious, but troublesome if not taken care of) stomach or intestine illnesses.
Once you get a medical / dental clear out, you will be ready to change your diet (avoid onion, garlic, alcohol) or try every existing brand of chewing gum & mints available in the world...

If you can't brush your teeth after your meal, you should drink plenty of water to keep your mouth fresh. If you drink a lot of water and chew gum, you should be able to get the odor under control. However, it is possible you have gingivitis. Go to a dentist to see if this is the case. Flossing and mouthwash helps to prevent and treat gingivitis and also bad breath.

well maybe you should try brushing your teeth and rinsing with mouthwash for starters after you eat a meal and this might not happen, if it persists then carry around some dentine or rigley's or something with you to also chew on and freshen your breath with between meals, if that doesn't help then go see a dentist, actually you should probably go see one anyways
