I just went through the same thing you are going through right now. I have been on the pill for 9 years and have never even been a day late, much less missed a period completly. However, these things do happen. I had been off the pill for a couple of months, then went back on, and even switched pills twice and still had normal periods. But my last period was July 26, that is until a week ago, when I finally started. My question to you is whether or not you missed pills. I do almost every month and still had no problems. I went off in August because I thought I was pregnant. But I wasn't. I guess what I'm trying to say is that even though this has never happened to you before it isn't impossible. Look at me. It had never happened until a few months ago. If you aren't having any pregnancy symptoms and are getting negative results (and no the pill won't affect the outcome of a HPT) then you probably aren't pregnant. If you still feel as though you are you could always go your doctor and get a blood test done. Good luck and hope this helps.

It is indeed, as for the false neg, to my knowledge there isnt anything that is in the pill that would produce that. My best suggestions are two things:
1st-dont panic and dont think about it too much because if you do it'll more than likely lead to a false positive and then cause you to have a "fake pregnancy" which sucks cause you go through all the emotions and physical stresses...
2nd- get another test taken. The reason being that every so often the tests are wrong, but this is rare depending on the pregnancy test that you buy. So retake it and if it gives you the same results then you're in the clear.
As for the missing of the period thingy, you might wanna go see a doctor about that.. I wouldn't worry too much because you do miss em every so often...though as you said with the pill it is unlikely, but it does happen...I know, my fiance has and it's caused crazy mayhem... I hope this helps...but remember
just like the guide....DON'T PANIC...god I'm a dork....

False negatives can happen with pregnancy tests, but I don't think it has to do with the pill. When I got pregnant with my first, I was on the pill, too and had been for 4 years. If you are still wondering, try testing first thing in the morning. That is when the pregnancy hormone is highest...or try waiting another few days or week or so. You could also call your doctor and see what their opinion is! Good luck!

I would go and check things out with the doctor. I don't think the pill will affect a preg test. If you are pregnant, the test should show it whether you take the pill or not.
You may have other health issues that warrants a check up.

it is possible to become preg on the pill. You have to make sure you are taking it regularly and correct. I would go to the doctor cause them at home test can be defective or possibly your pills weren't effective

No, the pill will not create a false negative. If it says negative, you're probably not pregnant. There could be other reasons you didn't get your period. Stress is one. If you're really concerned, call your OB/GYN.
