Depends on the brand you buy and where you get it from.
It's cheaper by the gallon, but if you are only doing a small bit and the rest would sit forever in the can you should only buy what you need.
Check out the big box stores if you're concerned about cost and just want anything. I usually go to a paint store and get Pittsburgh or Diamond Vogel.

The cost of paint varies by manufacturer and quality.
There are premium paints and there are standard paing.
Premium paint typically is one-coat coverage which means it will cover the wall in one coat withut a primer. However, using a primer always means better adherance to the wall. Some examples of Premium paint would be:
Ralph Lauren (usually around $30/gallon)
Shewin Williams (Duron line) (usually around $45/gallon)
Behr One Coat (usually around $23/ gallon)
Standard paint is typically going to take more than one coat and is less expensive.
Glidden would be a typical "standard paint" but they also make premium lines like Ralph Lauren.
The cost of a pint is determined also by manufacturer.
Typically they run from $5 - $15 depending.

I only buy paint by the gallon, and tend to buy higher-quality paint, as I don't want to have to use two coats (more expense) or paint often (more expense). I generally spend around $20/gallon. If I can, I watch for sales, too.

I only paint with Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore. Anything less is not worth my time and effort. I use Rustoleum on my bathroom ceiling because the white is very white and very glossy.

It depends on the kind of paint you get. Walmart paint would be the least expensive. But you get what you pay for!

white cost $ 19.90 and yellow 14.95 gray 18.95 gold 85.95
all prices are including tax.you have to find transportation by your self and have to paint by your self.
