Yeah, we have something like that going on at work. I work in a hospital kitchen and sometimes we have to write the word "nourishment". My co-worker and several before her wrote it without the "o" for years. I came along and corrected it and now she's mad at me. She's an idiot. I mean, she knows what she's doing as far as the work, but she knows nothing about spelling, grammar, or punctuation and it doesn't bother her but it bugs the crap out of me.

Misspellings do not affect the misspeller's misspelling mind about whether or not the misspelled word is actually misspelled or not. The misspeller will misspell the word based on past misspelling knowledge on misspelled words, because maybe the misspeller saw the word before misspelled by their teacher Miss Pell.

That is a grate kwestion. A kwestion that deserves to be answered. You should get a lot of responses for this kwestion. Kwestions like this one make me kwestion why anyone would not want to find out the answer to this kwestion. It is a grate one. You notice how meticulous I am about my spelling. I had to look up kwestion in the dictionary, and the funny thing is, it was misspelled. How could Websters make a misteak like that?

It's hard for me to fault people for mispelling, as you know English is not a language known for being written, as it is pronounced. Some people could be suffering from minor dysgraphia (writing letters backwards, or transposing the postions of letters/words), even though in their minds they are thinking of the correct letter.

Since most people on this site spell randomly, I doubt that it's ever occurred to them. It would require too many brain cells, and it doesn't look like they have any spares.
