So say, for instance I google image search for the word "castle", and I get back from the image search various castle images from numerous website. I DON'T click any of the images, but stay on Google's image result page. Am I at any risk of a virus from any of these individual pages (assuming there was an infected page out there), or have I not actually visited any of these pages? (in other words, does google image searched cache these images somehow?)

I't sortof a tricky question to explain... I hope I said this right.

Thanks.

The 'thumbnail' images are created by Google on Google's server. They are actually not the files on the original website, so you are free from worry of infection, as long as you don't visit the site.

No, you will not get a virus using Google's search for images.
