I do not like it when people consider themselves " ____-Americans", whether it be Italian, Asian, Mexican, African, German, or whatever. Once a person is a citizen of America, they should forget the multi-culturalism and assimilate into the American culture and society.
Getting back to their roots, it depends on how much research a person does to find out about their past generations.
It depends on the individual Arabic woman as to whether she wears the head scarf or not.
Since nobody living today walked the Earth at the time of Jesus, nobody knows exactly what he looked like, and therefore the depictions are that of the artist's rendering.

1. if they are African American, then most likely they are of African origin.
2. How would they know Africa if a lot of them don't know which part of Africa they are from? Do white Americans know much about Europe?
3. Not all Arabic women wear Hijabs and not all Hijabi's are Arab, and no hijab is compulsory.
4. Depiction is form of art... you have to go back into renaissance, therefore you will find only white depiction since black would be considered almost a heresy.

I can answer only 2 of your questions:
- Yes African Americans are really African.
- Yes some of the Arabic women who have a choice, choose to wear the head veils.
I do not know the answers to the first and last questions, but I am so sure of the answers I've given you.

yea African American people are from Africa they came to work in US since gods knows when and i don't think any of the
African American people these days know anything about African because they have never been there , I'm sure if their grand grand father who came 1st to the US if he he still alive he would know .... other than that no way unless if they went to African as Tourists
about Arab women yes they have the choice to wear the Vail or not , its something between them and God no one can force them to do things they don't want it
as i know they wear the Vail to become closer to God and to show him that they respect him cause he told them in the Quran (The Muslims book) to cover their hair ... that's what someone told me
about Jesus Christ being white well he came from middle east
and he was born in Jerusalem and people from that area have olive skin which is not soooo fair and not brown as well
it comes in the middle so i think he had a olive skin

~Arabic Women--Arab women usually do not have a choice to wear the head scarf--not towel lol.
~Jesus is always depicted white because the artists at that time were white, you didn't have Middle Eastern artists who painted.
