My children had gotten lice this summer from their cousins and I can't seem to completely get rid of it!!! I've done the shampoo, mayo washed, dried sprayed everything and the little critters come back!!! what am i doing wrong!!! I'm about ready to shave everyone's head and burn the house down!!!!

Olive oil will kill the live ones but it is very important to follow up in a week because there will still be eggs that hatch. Try using the olive oil every day for a week.

Any old hair conditioner and good old elbow grease. Bath the children wash the hair then lather the roots and all the length with conditioner. Then get a nit comb and some tissue and comb the blighters out. Repeat every 2-3 days for 2 weeks. Good luck I am having the same problem all 4 girls have got them.

shaving the heads of your children is the cheapests but all that crap you have been doing has really gone bad.you have to clean your home too.the eggs get in the bed covers and hatch and thenyour kids are infested again.clean your home top to bottom that includes your carpet. get the shampoo that is for lice and dont use mayo you just wasting money.remember clean your home.

One way is to, monkey style, pick all the little b*stards out of the hair (and the nits too) and drop them into a cup of soapy water.
Or, shaving the scalp to the skin will get rid of them. Liberal application of baby oil will suffocate them, but you have to leave it on for several hours.
