Has to be Freddie from the Nightmare on Elm Street films. I watched this when i was in the house on my own when i was a teenager and it frightened the living daylights out of me. Took weeks to be convinced that he wasn't coming for me in my dreams. To this day I still don't like watching him. Hide behind the cushion.

The original Exorcist - way back when ... so many years ago in theaters and to this day - big impact at those times because some things were new to movie viewers.
One scene that got me and still does is when she is sitting on the bed ... possessed with her back to the priest talking to him... then slowly turns her head around on her body to be facing backwords and talks to him in that creepy voice.
There are other scenes from that movie that have stayed with me for hummmm what now about 30 some odd years... and I will NEVER forget the line up to get into that place in a huge old fashioned theater with balconies and that place was packed the first time I saw it.

The scene in an american warewolf in London where he wakes up only to find he's in a nightmare. Victum was a nurse from what I recall. It's a very funny film but that scene scare the crap out of me first time I saw it. Thought the thing was a good film as well. Modern horror just doesnt have that same effect on me.

In Alien Resurrection there is a scene where Ripley (who is branded with the number 8) enters a room labelled 1 to 7. I'm not usually freaked out but that scene... Eeeech!

The bit in Suspira when the girl falls from the window and tries to crawl through the barbed wire only to have her throat slashed when she gets to the other side. I always think about the plane crash in Final Destination whenever I get on one, which always unsettles me and The Birds just because it makes you scared of something you never really saw as a threat before

I hate anything relating to the Church so the Omen or The Exorcist are particularly horribly. I also hate Candyman - to this day I've never watched it as I'm too afraid of Pinhead!! Oh and Carrie mentally scarred me when I was a teenager - in fact, it took me nearly 12 years to watch a horror film again after that bloodfest!

In the new version of "The Hills Have Eyes"....
The monster guys are in the trailer, and they are threatening to do something terrible to a womans newborn baby.

I have never had a problem with a horror movie, and usually laugh at them, but I cannot watch this....it makes me crazy. (I just had a baby a few months ago....and I am sure it has to do with it).

I almost believe they shouldn't have even put it in the movie. It is a little Tabu, I think.

Well you may not believe me but no horror film has freaked me out yet as I know they're fake not based on real life I don't get scared.

The one that came close to scaring me was the ring1&2 Japenese version with english subtitles.
The end of ring2 when the dead proffesor's student was climbing out of the well by rope with the professor's son on her back and thew weird girl in the well is climbing up behind them she draws level with the student and says
why are you the only one who survives? and drops into back down the well.
The student and boy make it up the well and resurface in a closed public swimming pool.

I can't watch SAW II when the girl gets pushed into the pit with all the friggin' needles. The Hills Have Eyes was just an all around disturbing movie.
