I won't refuse to buy but that's not the whole picture... How is the store owner suppose to attract those x-mas shoppers. If there were two stores right next two each other (which there are in many places)...and there was one that was decorated and one that was not. How is the customer suppose to know that the store owner is selling holidays items and etc. My guess is that there would be likely more customers at the decorated store then there would be at the store that was not decorated. Its worth the time and money to decorate your store. Every store owner knows that you must attract attention to your store...There alot more competition out there especially with those huge monster retailers.

Most likely. We're doing most of our shopping on ebay this year anyway. I e-mail and call stores that play Christmas carols to thank them. That might be just as effective as boycotting stores that change the holidays.

If someone would refuse to shop somewhere that does not decorate, isn't that a sign of hate and ignorance?

As I do my holiday shopping year round, it makes little difference to me. Then again I am also one of those people who celebrates multiple winter holidays, though not the Christian Christmas.

it makes no difference to me. actually, it irritates me to see the Christmas decorations already out by the end of September.

No, if they have a product that someone on my gift list wants I would still buy it. I guess the decorating helps attract people who are browsing and not sure what exactly they want to buy.

No because Christmas is always in my heart ... year around...I don't need the hype from a store.

Christmas shopping was invented by retail outlets.
Laura Secord, Hallmark cards invented valentine's day.
Maybe they are taking the pressure of spending off of parents and loved ones.
