You know when you have this truly awful dream and you just can't stop replaying it in your head? How do you get it out of your head?

Try to write down and recall all of the things that happened in your dream and how they made you feel. It was probably rooted in some natural fear of yours which may or may not be rational. It is likely that when you write your dream down and break it down into it's elements, you'll realize that the dream isn't that scary, that parts of it are silly and nothing to be afraid of. You can also try imagining something funny happens in the dream at the point that it becomes scary. Really imagine it down to the details like a movie in your head. This should deflate the dream.
