I'm 25 (almost 26) and have recently got into a new realtionship. My new Beat of a boyfriend is only 18.(ladies if you saw him, you'd understand)

We're both pretty much on the same wave-length as i'm not your typical 26yr old and he's at times pretty mature for 18.
To me age isn't a problem its the person that matters? However I think my family members are a little bit miffed on the situation, any comments??
Many thanks
Em

Don't worry. There is twenty years difference in my marriage. It works great. If you let others rule the way you live your life, you may end up never discovering the joys that some feel are forbidden. Good luck to you and your new love.

I don't feel age should be the biggest factor in a relationship unless one of the participants is under age. In your case it is almost 8 years difference with the male being the younger. I would say be careful with this one no matter how mature he may act at times because the attention span of a typical 18 year old male is quite short when it comes to women and dating (i've been there, :) now 35.) And as much as you may not want to think about it, he may simply be getting his kicks by his friends seeing him with an "Older Woman", etc.

Anyway, I wish you the best! Who knows, he could be the right one for you.

If you're both mature enough for the relationship, I don't think it's a problem. You're two consenting adults and you like each other, I think that's all that is important. If it makes you happy, then more power to you both!

You go, girlfriend! The older the two of you are the less age will matter. If he is comfortable around his friends with you, and you are comfortable around you friends with him, then okay. As for the family members, as they get to know him better, their opinion will change.

Well, me and my partner is like six years apart. And is not a problem at all, as long you both love each other thats all it matters.
do not let other put you down, just stand tall and be pride of who you are with, and it matters to you both if you are madly in love and everyone sees that, it be alright. remember age no difference in love, as long is love it matters thats all.

He's of legal age and so are you. If you love each other, age doesn't matter! IF you decide to marry, who's going to live in your house, you or your family? Nobody decides your life but you!

A problem is compatibility because of the age difference.

If you get along well in all areas, then there is no problem
