Will an online petition do any good? We need to protect our freedom, not sit back and do nothing.

That seems like a rather dumb thing for the citizens of the free world to do at this point in time.

Hasn't Afghanistan or Iraq taught you anything man?????
"Protecting our freedom" is the reason for hundreds of US and UK servicemen dying on a weekly basis - not to mention civilians on both sides.
If you think that war is the way to protect your freedom you are very much mistaken - likewise if you think "your leaders" will listen to you.
Also, North Korea is not an underdeveloped country that will effectively lie back and take a battering from coalition troops. There is a very real threat that they will fight and fight well.
I personally wouldn't want our soldiers being pushed into another political folly.
When was the last time America tested nuclear weapons??? Don't know? Exactly. It happens all the time but is not picked up by the newspapers, yet as soon as the Koreans test one we are sent into a media frenzy.
I hope Bush gives the Koreans a go and gets a lesson in why we shouldn't bully smaller people.

Is not that easy, we can not just attack another country thinking that is to protect our freedom. Remember what is happening in Irak, the free world is divided, only thinking about their economical interest, not their freedom. Also, North Korea have a neighbor, Communist China and maybe Russia that are pro North Korea and they will do every thing, like they are doing right now to block any decisions that the West make. If the West attack North Korea most likely the third world war will start. I will think that Communist China and Russia will go with North Korea. Communist China for being communist and Russia for not being too friendly toward the USA for loosing the cold war and reducing them to what they are right now, a third world country.

South Korea has a great deal more desirable its protection tension features over the previous few dcades and its gopvernment believes it is extremely able to turning decrease back and tried invasion from the North. we've protection treaties with the two South Korea and Japan and can help the two or the two considered one of them if necessary. We purely have approximately 25,000 reoops in the South and are not liable to extend that for what must be a short conflict if the North attackes the South. we would administration the air and the sea. i'm particular we've pointed out many targets in the North, which comprise its protection tension instalations and its nuclear sites. i don't prefer to dee the North destroyed, in spite of the fact that it is their call in the event that they like to threat what little they have.

It would take a united front and basically start WWIII because if anyone, say the US for example, attacks N Korea China and it's overpopulated nation will start sending troops to help out. China is the main threat due simply to sheer numbers.

Let's not forget that if it's true, N Korea now has nukes in the arsenal as an additional deterrent against attack.

N. Korea having a nuke doesn't threaten our freedom. They don't even have a missle capable of making it to the U.S. The only threat that N. Korea poses is to other countries such as Japan, S. Korea, China and Russia. I think that they can deal with the threat themselves. They don't need protection from the U.S.

Who say`s North Korea is a threat? What has it done to threaten the US? The Korean`s say that if they are threatened with force they will retaliate with whatever means available. Sounds like a fair fight to me.

As you see from most of the responses, we get the government we want; in this case appeasing pragmatists that soak you out of your money to allegedly defend your life & property, but instead engaged in humanitarian missions for multitudes of mobs world wide.

For my part, I'm voting everybody out, b/c none have demonstrated any willingness to put down these threats.
