yankees would have to pay part of his salary, because he makes way to much money. and the yankees would have to make sure that they are making a good deal..they can't just give him away.

Don't forget that teams aren't paying his whole $250 mil salary if they trade for him. He has a very managable contract left (6 years 70 million I think?) that teams could afford. There will be a number of players this year that will pick up huge contracts just like that and don't have near the talent that ARod does. Alfonso Soriano, Barry Zito, etc. will make 12-15 million a year as free agents.
Still at that price, only 8-10 teams can afford that. Both LA teams, Cubs, Orioles, Red Sox (they better not), Giants, Cardinals, Mets....

Rocco is absolutely right. The problem is there are few teams that can afford him and even fewer that could package any sort of trade for him that would give the Yankees anything like fair value in return. Would the Yankees take prospects for him? I can't imagine trading a first ballot Hall of famer in his prime and not getting proven major league back. I guess you could say the only thing the Yankees need is pitching and no one is going to give up a dependable pitcher for a power hitter these days.

No way that could take place. First, he's an extremely sturdy participant in no remember despite catagory and he performed for the Yankees for see you later that he's growing to be a center participant in that team now. You in no way could deliver a center participant away. 2d, the administration in basic terms signed the main important settlement for him, figuring out to purchase and advertising him away and does no longer provide him a great gamble to accomplish will look very undesirable for the administration. Thirdly, Yankees pay 10 mils consistent with annum to different team, infrequently the different team can locate the funds for him. save him and get addition help this offseason is probable the only answer Yankees can do. WS? overlook it for a on a similar time as, Yankees has no longer been in WS for years already.

Lots of teams would "take him" but not be willing to pay him that much. I think he was a victim of the New York curse. Gotta be the worst place in the world to play a pro sport! The fans! The media! Woohee! I felt real bad for him during the play offs and I am a true blue Tigers fan! He had what I call the Sergei Fedorov curse. One of the best but can't do "it" in the play offs.

Every team would want him. His salary is mostly being paid by the Rangers so if a team were to trade and get him he would cost them practically nothing.

He had a bad year this year, but may well have a breakout year next year, probably the best of his career. Most teams would want him, but his salary will be a big issue.

There's 29 teams who would take him in a heartbeat! They just won't because they would have to pay too much money and part with too much talent.
