I don't know if they're shallow or not. But I don't think I'd date a guy who tanned. Sure, guys with long hair and good fashion sense are fine. But tanning is too girly for my taste.
Moreover, though, it speeds the aging process. I don't know how people can spend $$ on that. Pale healthy skin is still better than charred leather.

Like Ken they are totally emasculated and would be better off hangin in the company of superficial, plastic babes like barbie. Real girls have since moved on to more realistic male models.

Who cares? It's not what other people think but what the guy thinks of himself that counts. Too much time is spent worrying about what other people think. If the individual feels good about himself and he is tanning then great! Just my point of view. If one likes themself, then who cares what the world thinks?

Very vain...and who do they think is impressed with the orange tan...they look like naked apes from the film Planet of the Apes....yukkk don't like it.

I think it's wonderful to take care of your appearance. Tanning in moderation looks and feels wonderful for both girls and guys.

i go to sunbeds to help get rid of my tan lines, because i go to many nude beaches and i think i look better without such defined tan lines
