Bad ECM

sounds like you may have a blown e.c.m. or gauges fuse. you probabley can't even go into diag mode let alone get "codes". It could also be your service engine light driver located in a little plastic box taped to the harness near the e.c.m in the passenger footwell near the inside firewall. Open the end of this box and you will see a small circuit bord with a small rectangular hole at the end use a screwdriver to pry out the board go to your nearest auto parts and tell them you need an c.e. light driver and reverse procedure .

computer has seen better days. Time to replace and reprogram. The PROM itself may be defective.
